The foundation of the church is built on the following beliefs:
The Scriptures: That the bible as the written word of God which is infallible, authoritative and as the only rule for Christian faith and conduct (2 Timothy 3:15 – 16).
The Trinity: That there is only one true God; the Godhead who eternally exists in three persons; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 6:4; 1 John 5:7; Matthew 28: 19 – 20).
The Deity of Christ: That Christ’s virgin birth, His sinless life, His vicarious death and atonement through His blood, His bodily resurrection and ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His future return to this earth in power and glory (Matthew 1:18 – 25; Acts 1:10;Romans 8:34).
Salvation: That man fell as a result of sin and because of the exceeding sinful nature, salvation by grace through the blood of Jesus Christ is absolutely necessary (Genesis 1:27; Romans 3:25).
Water Baptism: That Baptism in water is by immersion and for believers only. This ordinance is a symbol of the born again Christian’s identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. (Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:4; Colossians 2:12).
The Holy Spirit: That the Holy Spirit descended on the Day of Pentecost according to the divine promise and dwells in every believer and His baptism is for all believers who ask for this experience. We believe that the Fruit of the Spirit and Gifts of the Spirit in the lives of believers are visible demonstrations of His presence (Acts2:1 – 4, 38 – 39; Galatians 5:22)
Holiness: That every believer is called to live in holiness without which they cannot see God. By the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit, the believer is enabled to live a holy life (Luke 6:43 – 44; Galatians 5:16 – 24; Hebrews 12:14; 1Thessalonians 5:23).
Divine Healing: That healing is for the physical ills of the human body and is accomplished by the power of God through prayer of faith and the laying on of hands (Mark 16:18; James 5:14-15).
Resurrection: That the bodily resurrection of both the saved and unsaved shall take place were the saved will be resurrected unto eternal life and the unsaved unto eternal damnation (1 Thessalonians 4:16 – 17).
The Great Commission: That God’s plan is for every believer to be a witness to the world, proclaiming the Good News of the kingdom. Bringing the world to the salvation knowledge of Christ and making disciples through the teaching of His Word in the local church as a means of accomplishing His purpose (Matthew 28:18 – 20; Mark 16:15 – 16).
Tithing and Offering: That tithing and offerings in the local Church is a major covenant obligation that we have towards God as His partners, for the support of all the ministries of the Church, the poor, homeless, the widows, and the unfortunate (Malachi 3:8 – 12; Genesis 14:18 – 20; Genesis 8: 17 – 18).
